orange, off-white and indigo

clouds erupt behind these colors,
as if the skies were never gray
as if tears
rains from heaven never poured over our bodies
flooding us with violent memories
slapping us with wet hands
coming from almost too white clouds
too blues skies

orange almost illuminating
glowing like hard thoughts
left unwrapped
exposed to the air
swirled with the off-white
one color
yet,
dozens of colors mixed in
at the same time

indigo flashing
almost blue
almost purple
surrounded by the twinkling future
falling from the sky
hitting us
giving some of us a clear view
of how things truly are
missing others
totally
and leaving them
blind.
